For my birthday, I received StrengthsFinder 2.0
( Official Site ) a book used to identify your Strengths. The book requires you to take an online quiz to help identify your strengths. Likewise it comes with a product key, which you can only use once. After that, you're locked in baby.

Before taking the quiz, I could relate to each first few strengths, wondering if that truly reflected me. Likewise I proceeded to take the quiz, and the results turned out to be something different.

My top 5 strengths:

After you've taken the quiz, they give you the definition of your strengths. These definitions and the definitions for the other X traits are located in the book. The generated result, is a nicely compiled version (in PDF) of your top 5 traits The description of each strength includes questions you can ask yourself, action ideas, and how to deal with people with those strengths.

My StrengthsFinder 2.0 Results

The number of PDFs StrengthsFinder 2.0 gives you is quite compelling. Sure its just a rehashed version of the book, but its conveniently done so you don't have to flip through the book. They even give you a nice chart to compare with others who have taken the assessment as well.

Oh yes, they even provide a Screensaver (for both Windows and Mac). Though on my Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, its a hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it crashes.
