Chile Internet Speeds

January 6th, 2007 by aizatto

Just a reminder for myself about the Internet speed in Chile.

I have seen the speeds go quicker actually. BTW BitTorrent isn’t capped :D

Chile - at the end of the world

December 27th, 2006 by aizatto

Chile a place located at one end of the world, even the name itself reflects on this.

  • where the land ends
  • the deepest point of the Earth

I have visited the port towns of Valparaiso, San Antonio, Puerto Montt, Puerto Veras, and some other places. I was thinking of putting a quick Google Maps together with markers indicating where I’ve been.

The climate has been either cold, cool, or relatively warm, but nothing as humid or wet as Malaysia was.

The biggest problem is the language barrier…
Bad English
Either I have to learn Spanish, or they learn English. Hopefully the latter as I’m lazy to learn just for the remaining month.

Been eating alot of good food…
Seafood

Also spending alot of time with my little sister…
Swinging

Swinging

Perhaps I’ve had enough fun and games for the past month.

In the mean time I’ll keep adding more photos to my Flickr set on Chile.

Season’s Greetings and a Happy New Year

December 26th, 2006 by aizatto

I’m writing this from Puerto Veras, a few kilometeres from Puerto Montt about thirteen hours drive south of Santiago, sitting in the hotel lobby, using the public wifi that is available.

Been here for a few days, though the opportunity existed for me to be online, I take this chance to wish everyone a happy seasons greetings, be it a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, or what ever you may or may not celebrate.

But while I’m online, I hope everyone will have a Happy and Joyous New Year. I may or may not decide to go online in the meant time.

Puerto Montt is a very very nice place, pleasant, chilly, cool. Nice scenery, fresh air, the place is completely green with plants. Nice to be out in the county side once in a while, outside busy bustling city, where time seems to simply stand still. Eating lots and lots of sea food.
