MyOSS May 2007 Meetup Review: Malaysia and the OLPC XO
Another excellent meetup.

Thanks goes to:
- Open University Malaysia, and Nurhizam
- Jaya Kumar
Congratulations to Jaya Kumar to being the only Malaysian developer working on the OLPC. Jaya Kumar is a person whom I respect to, who change words into actions, and contributes back to the Linux kernel. With his presentations being one of the best I’ve seen in Malaysia (more like Kuala Lumpur). At times technical, witty, humorous, insightful, all around great.
With that, I’d like to apologize that no video recording is available, as my video camera was giving me problems, hence I couldn’t record. Another reason you should come to the meetup, in case problems like these occur.
Once again, Jaya Kumar didn’t disappoint us (at least me).
The meetup went marvelous with fourteen people turning up to witness this media popular device first hand. Alot of them took camera phone photos as evidence to say that ‘they’ve seen it’.
When he brought the machine to OSHCA, it was the star attraction. Photos were taken of people with it. Lots of photos.
Jaya Kumar hasn’t given me his slides yet due to certain difficulties, but don’t worry. I’ll keep you people up to date.
On a side note, I wonder how many of you noticed this slide in my presentation about FOSS-SM.

Note: There are others who are not in the picture who continually contribute.
There have been 0 submissions from http://meetups.aizatto.com/. If you can, please help disseminate this information around at least, blogs, forums, whatever.
In other words, we need a speaker for next months Meetup.
